I made it an aim of mine this past year to write more. I remember years ago, while serving with Youth Encounter, teaching at Purdue, or working in outdoor ministry, I had a well-established habit of daily (or nightly) journalling. It kept me healthy. It has been my intent to reclaim this regularity. I think I did quite well this year. The map above highlights locale of site visitors throughout the year. Here on the blog, I published 93 posts and 357 photographs accumulating a total count of 36,676 words (over twice the number from last year). I also shared 33 gems that I found out in the social wild of the internet (mostly tweets). Adorable, devotional, informative, and controversial – these 483 pieces help paint a picture of 2015. Here are several you may have missed:
- Navigating Decisions With Spiritual Discernment
- Vying for Authority
- The First WMPL Newsletter
- Tuckered Out at the Fire Hydrant
- A Girl, A Turtle, A Hat
- The Alchemist’s Letter
- Ascending Chapman’s Peak At Sunset
- Dashing
- Grand(kid) Party
- Alphabetizing Pinterest Boards
- Balancing
- #MissionText
- Mourning a Loss of Morality
- Papa & Aelah
- Answered Prayer in Minneapolis
- Isaiah Elden Vandercar
- Fain tuh WAH. Thank the LORD.
- Story Time
I pray that you have been blessed by that which I’ve shared throughout the year. Thank you for joining me on this journey.

Yay for fresh content. Kepp up the good work in 2016. It turns out my kids visit the family blog all the time and I did not even really know about it. so for that I am glad I took the time. 🙂
Thanks. I plan to. Yeah, I still haven’t found a single focus for what I post – family stuff, personal stuff, tech stuff, etc – but I think that’s okay. Good to hear that your kids are visiting your blog. I figure mine will also appreciate what I’ve written some day – if I can preserve it in an accessible format.
