Entering 2016, I posted a list of where I wanted my attentions to be. I fell ridiculously short. Now, entering 2017, I’ve not even given much thought to such a list. However, the word create keeps returned to me. I’ll hold this word close as we live into a new year. I hope to play songs I’ve written and to write a few new … to journal, blog, write poetry … to take on more web development work and help others tell their story online … and to take up some other hobby that would allow me to craft beautiful things.
And, as I enjoyed the short-lived Instagram challenge of last year and have been recently inspired by an online friend at john.show, I want to take on a similar challenge this year. I will begin documenting each day with at least 10 seconds of video footage. I think my preferred medium for this will be (live) video via Twitter. If you want to follow along, you can connect with me @uamv or click Recent Tweets above.
Here’s a short clip from our time at The Works with the Meier family today.

Creation #1: a foam block castle.
As we enter 2017 and God says, “Let there be,” may we so image Him.
Happy new year!
P.S. If you know of anyone looking for a website, send them my way or direct them to my Typewheel site.
typewheel won’t load – says server not found 🙁 happy new year, love you
Argh! I was transferring domain registration, so probably related to that. Thanks for letting me know!
The site is live again. Happy new year! ??
The instagram challenge sounds a bit more unique and interesting than most. It reminds me a bit of the “1 second a day” app. Good luck on your aims this year, I’m going through some goal setting myself. I really need to sit down and write the ideas I’ve been having down. Once their down on paper, it’s a lot harder to ignore them.
Chris, thanks for visiting. The instagram challenge was good … while it lasted. I look forward to the challenge I’ve issued myself this year and hope it’ll be a bit easier to keep to. Live video removes that hurdle of filtering life.
I’ve heard that “1 second a day” app before, but didn’t use it much. I suppose it could be a fun tool to come alongside what I’m doing this year. I also thought of checking out OKDOTHIS again to help with writing prompts this year. We’ll see.
Yes … getting thoughts concretely on paper can certainly help push one forward. Go get ’em!
I finally filtered thru my “intention” for last year…and as I was going to write about it….
(Be Here Now…
….as a result of the previous…”let it be..”)…
is when the blog disappeared…
ironic.
I’ve done more writing and blogging without a blog than I ever did with!
oh, well…I suppose I will post them some day…
gotta stay present and focus on the move and leaping right now…
we will see where I land after that.
Yep. Keep moving … but don’t miss *this*.
